Twice a year, Alhonna Resort
is host to an "open buddy bass" tournament. The Early Bird Tournament,
held usually the last weekend in March, offers a great way to start a new fishing season
at Lake of the Ozarks and often occurs during the bass's natural spawning period.
Seven and eight pound fish are not uncommon in this early spring tournament. The
Fall Classic, normally held in October, gives anglers the chance to enjoy brilliant
autumn colors and fantasti

Lake. Both tournaments include a seperate Big Bass pot.
Payback of ALL tournament fees is 100%
Take off is scheduled at
7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Weigh-ins are at 4:00 PM on Saturday and 2:00 PM on
Sunday. The cash prizes are given out following the weigh-in on Sunday.
Guest rooms are available at Alhonna Resort. Accommodations include
motels and kitchenette units for 2 to 10 people. Some units have fireplaces.
All rooms include one covered, electrified boat slip and ramp fees for the first
boat. Additional boats are extra. Ramp fees are not included for tournament
participants not staying at Alhonna.
Bobbers Restaurant at Alhonna offers a complimentary pre-take
off breakfast and coffee starting at 6:00AM on Saturday and Sunday morning. Lunch is
available starting at 11:00AM and dinner from 5:00-8:00PM.
Alhonna also offers the following amenities...indoor heated
pool, 2 hot tubs and sauna, full service gas dock, mechanic on duty, boat rentals, bait,
ice and fishing license.
